UPS Systems, Static Transfer and Power Distribution

DCF 105 is designed for aspiring and current technicians seeking to master the principles and applications of critical power distribution. The course delves into various UPS topologies, explaining their operational differences, advantages, and limitations. Emphasis is placed on battery technologies, including selection criteria, maintenance, and end-of-life considerations. Students will explore the role of static transfer switches in ensuring seamless power continuity and learn about the diverse functionalities of power distribution units and remote power panels. The course also covers busway systems as an efficient means of power delivery within facilities. Through theoretical lessons and practical exercises, learners will develop the expertise required to ensure reliable, high-quality power for sensitive electronic loads in data centers, industrial controls, and other critical infrastructure settings.
